KPI dashboards and business intelligence for management
A KPI dashboard is one screen that pulls your company’s numbers from its different systems, such as sales, collections, inventory, projects and HR, updates them automatically, and presents them in Arabic according to each manager’s role. It suits senior management and department heads who spend time compiling reports from scattered files and systems. Delivery usually takes 3 to 8 weeks, and the cost depends on the number and quality of data sources, the number of dashboards and KPIs, whether a data warehouse is needed, and permissions. We start with a session to define the KPIs that drive your decisions, and send a written quote within 24 hours.

What you get
Connects every source
Accounting, ERP, CRM, online store, Excel and Google Sheets files, and databases, all in one place.
Automatic updates
Numbers refresh on a schedule you set, hourly or nightly, so nobody compiles the report by hand any more.
Arabic and right-to-left
Titles, KPIs and charts in Arabic, figures in SAR, and Hijri calendar support where needed.
A dashboard for every role
The general manager sees the full picture, a branch manager sees their branch, a sales manager sees their team, with defined permissions.
From number to detail
Click a number to see what is behind it: which customer, which product, which invoice, without opening another system.
Alerts on deviation
A WhatsApp or email message when collections drop, spending exceeds budget or a project falls behind.
Questions in Arabic
An optional AI add-on: type your question about the numbers in your own words, and get an answer from the same data with the right chart.
A periodic report that arrives on its own
A weekly or monthly summary as a PDF or message, delivered to management on a fixed schedule.
The problem is not too little data, it is scattered data
Most companies have enough data to make better decisions, but it is spread out: sales in one system, collections in accounting, inventory in a spreadsheet and projects in another tool. So someone spends days every month compiling a report that arrives late, often with numbers that do not match between two departments, and the meeting is lost arguing over which number is right.
A good KPI dashboard ends that: one source of truth, one definition per number, automatic updates. Most importantly, it is designed around the decisions management makes, not around every chart that could be drawn.
The dashboard’s value shows most clearly at decision time: should we hire another salesperson? Which branch needs support? Can current cash flow carry a new project? When management has up-to-date, trusted numbers in front of them, these decisions are made in one meeting instead of weeks of requesting, reviewing and disputing reports.
Start with the KPIs, not the charts
We start with a session with management where we ask: what decisions do you make weekly and monthly? Which number, if it moved, would make you act? From there we arrive at a limited set of key KPIs per role, with a written definition of each KPI, its source and how it is calculated.
That written definition solves half the problem before any code is written, because it settles disagreements between departments over what “revenue” or “active customer” means.
- Sales: revenue vs target, open deals by value, close rate, average deal size
- Finance: collections and receivables by age, cash flow, spending vs budget
- Operations: orders in progress, delivery time, slow-moving stock, late projects
- HR: attendance, leave, staff turnover, payroll cost
Power BI or a custom-built dashboard
Off-the-shelf BI tools such as Power BI and Looker Studio are powerful and quick to build, and suit users who are analysts or managers already used to them; some require per-user licences. A custom dashboard inside your company portal suits you when you want a fully Arabic experience, fine-grained permissions tied to your system, and actions from inside the dashboard.
We recommend an option after understanding the users, sources and budget, and the answer is often a mix: one clean data warehouse, with an off-the-shelf tool on top for analysts and a simplified dashboard for management.
More important than the tool is the data layer underneath. If definitions and transformations are built in one documented place, you can change the presentation tool later without redoing all the work. We make sure of that, so your company is not tied to a particular tool or provider.
Data quality: the work nobody sees
A dashboard is only as good as the data behind it. Duplicate customer names, products recorded under several names and invoices with no branch all make the numbers misleading. A core part of our work is cleaning and standardising data at the source or in transit, and documenting the rules.
We show you the data issues we find during the first week and agree on what gets fixed at the source and what gets handled along the way, so there are no nonsensical numbers after launch.
When historical data sits in a previous system or in files piled up over years, a separate migration and clean-up step may be needed before building dashboards. We estimate it frankly in the quote, because ignoring it means a beautiful dashboard with numbers nobody trusts, which is worse than having no dashboard at all.
A dashboard managers actually use
Many KPI dashboards get built and then abandoned within weeks because they are cluttered, slow or do not answer the manager’s actual question. We design the first screen to be read in under a minute: the five or six most important numbers, compared with target and with the previous period, and a clear colour for anything that needs attention. Detail is there for anyone who wants to click through.
We make sure the dashboard works well on mobile, because many managers check numbers on the road or between meetings. And if a manager does not open the dashboard, the summary reaches them on WhatsApp or email on a fixed schedule.
What you need to prepare
A list of the systems and files that hold the numbers, read access to them, an owner from each department to confirm the definitions of their numbers, and samples of the reports you use today. Those current reports are the best starting point, because they reveal what management actually needs and what gets compiled by hand every month that can be automated.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a KPI dashboard cost for a company?
The cost depends on the number of data sources and how easy they are to access, the state and cleanliness of the data, the number of dashboards and KPIs, whether a data warehouse is needed, and permissions. We start with a session to define the KPIs, then send a written quote within 24 hours, usually starting with the senior management dashboard before expanding to departments.
What is the difference between a KPI dashboard and the reports in my system?
System reports show that system’s data alone, in the way its developer designed. A KPI dashboard brings numbers from several systems together with one definition, such as linking sales from the CRM with collections from accounting, updates automatically, and shows each manager what concerns them in the form they need for their decisions.
Do you use Power BI?
We use it when it fits, as well as Looker Studio or custom dashboards inside your company portal. The choice depends on the users, long-term licence costs, and the need for a fully Arabic experience and fine-grained permissions. We give you a written comparison before starting and recommend what suits your case.
Can you connect Excel files?
Yes. Excel and Google Sheets files can be read from a shared folder or cloud account and refreshed automatically. We suggest locking the file structure so the dashboard does not break when columns change, and sometimes we suggest moving an important sheet into a simple system if several people edit it.
How often do the numbers update?
As needed and depending on the data source: from every few minutes for sales and orders to once a day for finance and HR. More frequent updates raise running costs slightly and put load on the source systems, so we agree on the right frequency for each KPI instead of refreshing everything every minute.
Does every manager see every number?
No. We define permissions per role: a branch manager sees their branch, a sales manager sees their team, and senior management sees the full picture. Permissions apply at the data level itself, not just by hiding charts, so nobody can reach someone else’s numbers by editing a link or a filter.
What if our data is messy?
That is normal for most companies and does not stop us starting. We review the data in the first week and show you the duplicates, gaps and conflicts we find, then agree on what gets fixed at the source and what is handled automatically in transit, and document the rules so the numbers stay consistent going forward.
How long does it take to build the dashboard?
A management dashboard from two or three sources with defined KPIs usually takes 3 to 4 weeks. A wider project with several dashboards, a data warehouse and multiple permission levels takes 6 to 8 weeks. We deliver in stages, so you see the first dashboard working before the project is complete.
Can I ask the dashboard questions in Arabic instead of digging through charts?
Yes, as an optional add-on. A manager types a question in their own words, such as “How much did we collect from the Jeddah branch this month compared with last month?”, and the assistant answers from the dashboard’s own data with the right chart. The same permissions apply, so a branch manager cannot get another branch’s numbers, and it explains how the figure was calculated so the manager can trust it.
Does the data stay inside our company?
We build the data warehouse and dashboards on accounts in your company’s name, read from your systems with read-only permissions, and can host in the region on request in line with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The code, definitions and accounts all belong to your company, so you can develop them later with your own team or any provider.
