Restaurant and Cafe Website Design

Website Design for Restaurants and Cafes

A restaurant or cafe website answers what a guest asks before coming: what is on the menu and at what price, where is the nearest branch, when does it open, and can I book a table or order online? We build it for restaurants, cafes, chains and catering kitchens in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, fast on mobile and in Arabic and English. It takes 2 to 5 weeks, depending on the number of branches and whether there is booking or direct ordering. Market guides put a simple brochure site on a ready-made template at SAR 2,000–7,000, and a custom-designed company site at SAR 5,000–25,000. Send us your menu and number of branches and you will get a written quote within 24 hours.

Who is this for?

  • Restaurants and cafes whose whole presence is on social media and delivery apps
  • Chains with several branches whose hours and menus differ
  • Restaurants that take table and event bookings by phone
  • Catering kitchens that want to receive event and corporate orders
  • Restaurants opening soon that want to be on Google and Maps from day one

What you get

A menu that is a page, not a file

Items, prices and photos on a page that is fast on mobile, readable by Google, and editable in a minute from the dashboard.

A menu per branch

Items and prices that differ between branches, and the option to hide a sold-out item without editing the whole menu.

Branches, maps and hours

Address, map, phone and hours for each branch, with Ramadan and Eid schedules and an "open now" indicator.

Table reservations

The guest picks branch, date, time and party size and gets a confirmation by WhatsApp or email.

Online ordering link

A clear button to your own ordering system or to your pages on delivery apps, with a separate link per branch.

QR code for tables

A code that opens that branch’s menu directly, and when the menu changes you do not need to print a new one.

Events and catering requests

A form that asks for date, number of guests and budget, and reaches the sales contact rather than the cashier.

Built for local search

Structured data for the restaurant, its menu and its branches, with details that match your Google Business Profile listings.

What should a restaurant’s website achieve?

A visitor to a restaurant’s site is hungry or planning a gathering and does not want to read. They want three things within seconds: the menu with prices, the nearest branch and whether it is open, and a button to book or order. They are usually on a phone, possibly in the car. Anything that slows them down sends them to another restaurant.

Your site also does something that social accounts and delivery apps cannot: it belongs to you. You update the menu and hours whenever you like, it appears on Google under your name, and event bookings come straight to you.

The pages and content a restaurant website needs

A restaurant site is small by nature, and that is a strength. Five or six well-built pages beat twenty. What matters is that the information is correct today: wrong opening hours mean a guest standing at a closed door.

If your business has requirements for how item information is displayed, such as allergens or calories, tell us and confirm them with the competent authority, and we will add fields that show with each item.

  • Menu: sections, items, prices and photos, in Arabic and English
  • Branches: a page each with map, hours and phone
  • Booking: a table, or a private event
  • Order online: a link per branch
  • Our story: a short paragraph and real photos of the place
  • Events and catering, and careers if you are hiring

Template, site builder or custom site?

A restaurant with one branch and a fixed menu does not need a custom website. A simple template or a site builder is enough: menu, map, hours and a WhatsApp button, at low cost and live within days. We say that to everyone who asks, and help set it up properly if you want.

A custom site shows its value for chains: menus that differ by branch, hours that change with the season, booking tied to each branch’s tables, and direct ordering with online payment. If you want ordering and payment on your own site, mada and Apple Pay run through a licensed payment gateway you contract with, and invoices are built to comply with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements or passed to your point-of-sale system to issue.

What gets a restaurant found on Google and Maps?

Most restaurant searches are local: a cuisine plus a district, or "near me". What appears first in those results is the business listing on Google Maps, and the website supports it. So we match the name, address, phone and hours between the site and each branch’s listing, and give every branch its own page.

A menu written as text lets your dishes themselves appear when someone searches for a particular dish, which does not happen with a menu uploaded as an image or a PDF. We add structured data for the restaurant and its menu and work on mobile speed. Ranking depends on competition in your area, on reviews and on time, and we do not promise a position.

What should you prepare before we start?

Photos are half of a restaurant’s website. Real pictures of your dishes and your space in good light make a difference no design can. If you do not have them, one photo shoot before the project is the best investment in it.

  • The current menu with prices, as an Excel file or even a clear photo
  • Photos of the dishes and the venue, and a high-resolution logo
  • Branch addresses, hours and numbers
  • Links to your pages on delivery apps and social accounts
  • How bookings work today and who receives them

Common mistakes on restaurant websites

The best-known mistake is a menu uploaded as a heavy PDF: it loads slowly, needs zooming on a phone, can only be updated by redesigning it, and is hard for Google to read. A menu built as a page solves all four.

  • Opening hours not updated since last Ramadan
  • A large video on the home page that delays the menu
  • Prices on the site that differ from prices in the branch
  • A reservations number nobody answers at peak time
  • Music that plays automatically when the site opens

Frequently asked questions

How much does a restaurant website cost?

Market guides put a simple brochure site on a ready-made template at SAR 2,000–7,000, a custom-designed site at SAR 5,000–25,000, and an advanced site connected to payments, booking and WhatsApp at SAR 20,000–50,000. These are market ranges, not our price. The figure depends on the number of branches and on booking or direct ordering, and we send it in a written quote within 24 hours.

Do I need a website if I am already on delivery apps and Instagram?

Those channels matter, but they are not yours and show only what they allow. A website appears on Google under your name, carries the full menu and each branch’s hours, and takes event bookings directly. For a small restaurant a very simple site is enough; it does not have to be a big project.

Can I change the menu and prices myself?

Yes. From the dashboard you add an item, change a price or hide something that has sold out, and the change shows at once on the site and through the QR code. Each branch can have its own menu and prices. You get a short video guide and need neither a developer nor a designer to update the menu.

Can the site take table reservations?

Yes. The guest picks the branch, date, time and party size, and the request reaches the branch with a confirmation to the guest. You can set the number of tables available per time slot so bookings never exceed capacity. If you already use a reservations system, we connect the site to it where it offers an integration.

Can guests order and pay directly on the site?

They can. The simplest option is a button to the ordering system you already use or to delivery apps. The larger option is ordering and payment on the site by mada and Apple Pay through a licensed payment gateway, connected to the point of sale and the kitchen. The second is closer to an ordering system and is priced separately.

Is a ready-made template or a site builder enough?

Yes for a restaurant with one branch and a fixed menu, and it is the cheaper choice. A custom site fits better with several branches, differing menus, table-linked booking and direct ordering. We look at your situation and say plainly which suits you now, even when it is the cheaper one.

Will the restaurant show up in "near me" searches?

We build what supports it: a page per branch, a menu as text, structured data, mobile speed, and details that match the business listing on Google Maps. Local ranking also depends on proximity, reviews and competition, and nobody can guarantee it. We can help tidy up your branch listings if you wish.

Who owns the site, and what happens after launch?

The domain, hosting and code are in your business’s name, and the delivery date is written into the contract and kept. After launch you get fast technical support for any fault, and booking forms follow the Personal Data Protection Law. You can agree a monthly maintenance plan covering updates and backups.
